This month our ‘meet the team’ is with Steven Laws. He’s one of our lovely directors and has been working at The Sticker Factory for 3 1/2 years now. He can often be seen walking over the meadows at lunch time with Ludo the office dog (we think he’s the real brains behind all those numbers and spreadsheets that Steve gives us!)

What did you do before working at The Sticker Factory?

I was a teacher for 15 years in the Secondary sector prior to joining TSF

What’s your role at The Sticker Factory?

Working in an SME you have to be flexible and multi faceted so I can be involved in everything from changing a light bulb to assisting in the launch of new products. I am responsible for dealing with our trade customers, looking after our export markets, liaising with our technical support teams who look after our web site and data base and for generating many financial spread sheets to confuse people with.

How would you describe The Sticker Factory?

Brilliant!

How do you think your colleagues would describe you?

You had best ask them that question! All I can say is that we have an excellent team working at TSF who are dedicated, hard working and without whom we would not be where we are today.

What’s it like always having Ludo in the office with you?

Office dog is a great asset. You can bounce ideas off him, sit and stroke him whilst you contemplate complex business stuff and he gets you out of the office at lunch time as he needs to go for a walk, which is a bonus because I get some exercise!

What do you like to do when you’re not at The Sticker Factory?

I enjoy ballroom dancing with my lovely wife, playing music, painting, riding my motorcycle, walking, making and repairing double basses in my new workshop and hanging out with my family.

If you had to choose a sticker that represents you which one would it be and why?

I’d have to choose the alien because I am sure people think I am from another planet!
